Toshali Sands Puri Hotel, Puri

My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. Although the location was convenient, surrounded by lush green nature and close to the Shri Jagannath temple, there were some issues with the rooms lacking basic amenities and having old interiors. The dining options were decent, offering mostly Indian cuisine, and the staff provided good South Indian style cooking service. However, there were some lapses in service and a need for renovations.

The hotel is situated in a very odd location far from major attractions like Swargadwar beach, causing some noise and occasional delays in service. However, the service is exceptional with staff like Biswa Babu, AJAYA Babu, and PRADYUMNA Babu being very friendly and attentive. The dining experience is satisfactory but slightly overpriced for the Indian cuisine spread. The lack of smoke detectors in the rooms and occasional issues with mold and mildew odor may warrant caution.

Staying at this hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The rooms, while under renovation, are spacious and clean, offering good value for the price. The service was top-notch, with the concierge and manager being very helpful, especially Mr Ajay Kumar Mahapatra. The location, just off the beautiful Marine Drive, is perfect for a relaxing family or couples' getaway. However, the dining experience was a letdown due to limited breakfast options and undesirable noise from other guests.
